The name of the exhibition, “Ayanasukai”, was given by Heizo Tatsumura I and is taken from the Chinese poem “Kaishiki hai-cheng, rinsing color eba” (Beautiful brocade like a pattern of shells, beautiful and colorful like brocade woven by gathering brightly colored threads) by Sashi (late 3rd century), a scholar of literature in the Jin Dynasty.
